A master’s student in Lyon before Anissa Kate’s screen debut

Anissa Kate was born in Lyon on 7 May 1987 to parents of Italian and Kabyle background. She had just started a master’s in Economics and Management at Lyon’s Jean Monnet University when, in September 2011, she took her first adult film role in “Ultimate French Girls 3” under director Alexandre Legland. That same year she also appeared in “DXK,” directed by Christoph Clark, a pornographic retelling of the case that had put Dominique Strauss-Kahn, then head of the International Monetary Fund, under arrest in New York a few months before.

She went on to work for European labels including Marc Dorcel, Harmony Films and Private, then moved to the United States, shooting for studios such as Evil Angel, Elegant Angel, Digital Playground and Digital Sin, before eventually settling in Spain. Her credits from these years include Adult Source Media’s “Oasis,” Kelly Madison Media’s “White Room,” DreamZone Entertainment’s “Karate Kid XXX” and “Angels of Debauchery 9,” directed by Jonni Darkko for Evil Angel.

Anissa Kate’s triple win as Female Foreign Performer of the Year

Anissa Kate is the only performer to win the AVN Award for Female Foreign Performer of the Year three times, taking it in 2014 at the 31st AVN Awards, in 2015 at the 32nd AVN Awards, and in 2019 at the 36th AVN Award. She had already been nominated in that category in 2013, the same year she was up for Best Group Sex Scene for “The Initiation of Anissa Kate” opposite Prince Yahshua, Marco Banderas and Tony DeSergio, and for Best Sex Scene in a Foreign-Shot Production for “Den of Depravity” with Ian Scott and Omar.

The 2014 win arrived in the same year that Marc Dorcel’s “The Ingenuous” won the AVN Award for Best Foreign Feature, while the same film earned the wider cast, including Aleska Diamond, Anna Polina, Tarra White, Angel Piaff, Rita Peach and Mike Angelo, the AVN Award for Best Sex Scene in a Foreign-Shot Production at the 31st AVN Awards.

Ass, Cash & Politics: Anissa Kate’s start as a director

Anissa Kate directed twenty-two films between 2012 and 2017. Her first major opportunity behind the camera came from Private, which in 2013 turned the scandal surrounding Swiss politician Olivier Sauty into “Ass, Cash & Politics,” a release that went on to receive a AAAA review from AVN. Two years later, the same film brought her a nomination for Best Director, Foreign Feature, at the AVN Awards.

Anissa Kate still landing new scenes in 2026

Anissa Kate’s most recent work spans studios across the summer of 2026. In July she joined Isiah Maxwell for Brazzers VR’s “She Wants You, Daddy!,” then appeared with Musa Phoenix and Hollywood Cash in a Jonni Darkko-directed Evil Angel scene, “Anissa Kate Anal Gaping & DP Threesome,” before starring alongside Lucky Fate in Naughty America’s “My Dad’s Hot Girlfriend” series. August brought a scene with Arin Jones in Pervz’s “PervTherapy,” and by September she had returned for Vixen Media Group’s MILFY imprint, opposite Goldey in a scene directed by Jay Rogue.

Her August work also included a debut for StripPOV, in a scene titled “Gold Class” with Boswell Black. The release marked the studio’s return to production after a hiatus that let the team develop a dedicated new studio and refine its visual approach for a more immersive experience, with plans to grow past its original striptease and lap dance format into a distinctive production studio carrying a broader creative vision, incorporating licensed music from top recording artists.
